Electric Fences & Razors

2.5mm undergate

Product Description The Electric Fence Undergate Cable (2.5mm) is a heavier-gauge, double-insulated high-voltage cable used to carry current from the energizer to the fence line, underground, or beneath gates — without energizing anything along its path. The thicker 2.5mm conductor gives it lower resistance than the 1.5mm version, making it the better choice for longer cable runs or larger energizer systems where minimizing voltage drop matters most. Key Features Thicker 2.5mm conductor core — lower electrical resistance than lighter-gauge cable, better suited to longer runs and higher-power energizers Double insulation — keeps current fully contained, safe for underground burial and under-gate installation Tough polyethylene/galvanized-steel construction — resists abrasion, moisture, and ground contact wear over time UV-stabilized outer sheath — withstands sun exposure on any above-ground sections Compatible with multiple fence wire types — works with aluminum wire, galvanized wire, poly wire, poly rope, and poly tape Multi-purpose use — suitable as an energizer lead-out cable, under-gate connector, or earth system link Specifications Attribute Detail Type Insulated high-voltage undergate/underground cable Conductor thickness 2.5mm Insulation Double insulated Colour Black UV resistance Yes, UV-stabilized for outdoor durability Use Underground runs, under-gate connections, energizer lead-out, earth spike connections Advantage over 1.5mm Lower resistance, reduced voltage drop over longer distances Applications Underground power runs beneath gates, driveways, or pathways Connecting the energizer to the main fence line, especially over longer distances Linking the earth system back to the energizer Bridging non-electrified gaps between live fence sections Larger or higher-joule fence installations needing minimal power loss
